Is there NO receiver/drier in my Benz's AC system???

I've just compared my '99 E320's AC system to a common (or general) AC diagram. The common system diagram shows a receiver/drier, but my E320 has something in the drier's position that looks completely different. What is this device that Benz uses instead of a receiver/drier?

(On the other hand, I did a google auto part search on '99 E320 driers, and many came up. But the pictures showed something completely different than what's under my hood..!). Confused...
