I recently gave my sister my trusty 1988 300E with 270,000 miles. She called me the other day and said the check engine light is on. Thanks to information I sent her from this forum, she was able to determine that it was likely a obd code 5. Possibly also a 1, but she thought that may have just been the led letting her know she pulled the codes successfully.

So, anybody know what a obd code 5 is?

I searched the forums, no joy.
