I'm working on my newly acquired 300TD which has bad power problems at the low end. I'm optimistic.
Out of curiosity, how much HP does the 85 300TD have vice my 83 240D? Is the performance much more significant? Some of my carpool members are not amused by the 240D.

(I love the 240 since i rebuilt the engine/ac/interior, but can be scary in fast traffik and getting on the expressway.)

I believe the 300TD should have about 120hp vs.65hp for the 240D. The 300 should have no problem getting into traffic. I have never driven a 240D but with half the HP I can imagine it would be sssslooooooow.
