idle problem

Help, Again my 92 500SL just started to idle high over 2000 rpm, then low, then back high again.My check engine light is now on. I just had a tune up with new plugs, wires etc due this this happening before. any idea's whats going on? I'm going to take it back to the shop that worked on it of course but just wanted to hear some possible solutions Thanks

USA versions of the 500SL have traction systems...ASR... is the ASR warning lamp comming on? IF so then start with accelerator cable & linkage checks & adjustments!
