124 Temp display

I am trying to connect the newer style 5 pin outside temp LCD to my
87 300E and need to know what the new style pin configuration pin-wire colors are?

The old has 4 wires and new has 5 and plugs are marked 1-4 and 1-5

I have a wiring diagram but I need to find it.

Anyone know hat I am talking about?

Mercedes sells an adapter that plug that makes the newer display wiring compatible with the older display wiring. They supply it with all new display they sells. From what I just saw on "ALL Data" the only difference is that in your case PIN 4 Is not used, but there may be more to it than that.

I know I read a post here not long ago that explains what you need to do. If you do a search. you will find it.

I found one post that deals with rewiring this display. It was started by "Lukejt" on 05-23-05

You'll need to do a search for posts started by "Lukejt" as I don't know how to link you there
