(M119) '92 400E Broken Mystery Black Tube
Hi all,
Working on a friend's 1992 400e today for steering and coolant issues. Came across this broken plastic black tube when I took out the distributor cap and steering pump head. It was paired up with a smaller white plastic tube around a ribbed protective sleeve, which pretty much crumbles up as soon as you handle it. If somone can ID this tube, I'd greatly appreciate it! TIA. |

Part of evaporative purge system..should wind up at the purge valve on the left inner apron...valve has the letters "MOT" & is rubber mounted.

Based on your picture you may also want to investigate the last time the distributor rotors and caps were replaced. Mark

Yes, I noticed that the more I tear down this car, the more items I find that need replacing...
Thanks for the input! |
