I have an '87 300SDL with an electric reclining rear seat. I need to replace the rear shocks but don't know how to get in behind the rear seat to the get at the top of the shock. Can anyone help? I'm somewhat mechanical, but need pretty specific instructions.
Thanks, Heins |

I see that you are new to this forum. One of this forums biggest assets is its search function. I know that this has been covered before and you will find great instructions for this. It is not that difficult once you know where the fasteners are. Less than 10 minutes to remove the rear seat.

GSMITH, Thanks for your reply. Yes, I'm new to this forum. I tried the search function but haven't yet been able to find anything specific to removal of my electric reclining seats. I'll keep searching. I have found alot of great info on other questions I have about my diesel, so its been time well spent. I noticed you have an SEL, do you have reclining rear seats? What replacement shocks would you recommend? Thanks for your post. Heins
