Source for Euro Headlights?

I'm looking for euro headlights to replace both front headlights that some bonehead broke in an accident yesterday.

I've checked Bekkers for $614 for the pair, does anyone know of a place that sells REAL Euros (Hella or Bosch) for less? I don't care about vacuum adjustable, just the euro reflectors are fine.

Thanks,
y2kimmel

Thats a horrible thought. I have some pretty unusual euro lamps on my 300SD. If you look at them they have yellow reflectors inside the unit. I have yet to see another car with similar headlights.

If an insurance company is involved have you thought of making them procure an original pair? Technically insurance companies are required to make you whole regardless of market value of your vehicle. If they cant find you the correct Euro lamps they technically would have to find you a car equipped with the same Euro lamps to your satisfaction. You don't have to accept a total loss.

Good point, if the insurance is paying, but don't let the insurance adjuster see the Euro Lights box with the words "For Off Road Use Only" on it

If the Euro lamps are original to the car you can claim that the car's unique value is affected. I ran my VIN into one of those online vin decoders and discovered the headlamps on my car were a factory order. Not sure how the original owner got away with it though since I have seen many gray market cars imported in the 1980's that have had their headlights ripped out and the inferior American Market lamps installed. To make matters more unusual my car is a US version car.

I certainly hope I never get into a front end accident with my car. Repairs would be nearly impossible short of shopping for parts in Germany.
