Request for help - replacing brake rotors on W210 - how?

Hi,

I did use search and came up with bits and pieces of info (mostly related to W123 cars) but I am hoping someone can point me to a comprehensive writeup on how to replace the front and rear brake rotors on a W210 (97 E420).

Many thanks in advance.

/alex

p.s. I regrettably do not own the Shop Manual for the car

Front is MUCH easier than the 123. One allen bolt and the rotor comes off. As I recall you need to remove the caliper and hang it out of the way while you get the rotor off, but it is quite an easy job. Rotor may be rusted in place, but a few persuasive smacks with a hammer will convince it to come off.

so it is NOT necessary to disassemble the hub?

what worried me were the descriptions of having to disassemble the wheel hub assembly to remove the rotor. It sounds like that is not necessary?

Thanks
