Old xenon to Bi-xenon
Someone asked me if the newer bi-xenon head lamps from a 2003 S500 would retrofit into an older 2001 S500 with ordinary xenon head lamps.

Well Doc,
I just don't know if the signal for high beam from the front SAMs of the 2001 will switch the solenoids of the bi xenon headlamps for high/low beam in the headlamp units from the '03. dpk |

The SAM doesn't care if the system is Halogen OR Xenon...current draw is less with Xenon.

Really?
Xenon to Bi-xenon? Bi-xenon uses a shutter to change illumination intensity from high to low beam and vise-versa. Do you think the first version Xenon operation is similar enough from the Sam's standpoint? thanks, dpk |
