Airmatic problem, 2001 S430
My suspension collapsed and the car is sitting 2" above ground. I checked the compressor and it works whrn I put 12V directly to contacts. Have no power at the fuse or relay. I think it is a computer modular problem??? error message" airmatic- stop, car too low".
I took the car to private repair shop with the analyser. It is being checked now. Can anyone advise me on what to do? Thans. |

The air-matic control unit sends signals to the air-matic relay, that relay poweres the FUSE & that in turn poweres the air-matic air pump.
The AM air pump need to produce at least 150psi. MOST common failure is the front struts.. they leak at the vulcunized area at the top of the struts..that causes the AM air pump to run too often & fail!

That doesn't provide any guidance as to his issue. Are you saying the controller is bad given there is no power to the fuse or relay.
