Question Replacing Rotary Headlight Switch

I'm new here, but I promise you I have tried various searches of the forum and DIY articles/links over the past two days before posting this question.

In a nutshell: how do I get the rotary headlight switch on my '91 350sd out of the dash?

It's hard for me to tell how much/which pieces of the dash I need to remove to get to the switch.

If anyone can point me to a helpful page or just give me a quick overview, I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks. This is an awesome forum.

Easier than I thought. Thanks to an awesome guy for the following:

Assuming that it is the same as an 87 126, pull the knob straight
off, use a 24 MM socket or a pair of slip joint pliers to remove the
flat nut holding it in place, you will need to remove the dash
underside panel. The switch can then be manuvered down and outward.
You should mark the wires and there positions then remove them.
Reverse these steps to install the new switch, Good Luck
