hi iv just brought a 1987 190e merc 2.0L and was told when i brought it it had a small starting problem ! but once i got it home and tryed to start it the next morning it turnes over about 10 - 20 times before it starts to fire even then it coughes and splutters a few times before it gets going !! it seems to start a bit better once its warmed up ! i hav checked the fuel pump and is working fine , also does anyone know the gap for the sparkplugs and what gas its ment to run 91 - 96 ? thanks heeps

That car has an electronic enhanced MECHANICAL fuel injection system.
ON cold starts the electronics must en-richen the mixture for the car to run properly when cold..THE over-voltage protection relay is the most common problem.
