Hey Folks,
How long is the electric pump that seems to move coolant in the 2000 ML V8 supposed to run, it runs after the engine is turned off and the key removed. This darn thing runs for a long while even when the engine's cold (started for 2min)and might have run my battery dead the other day. ![]() I called the dealer and spoke to two service advisors who didn't even know there was any kind of coolant circulation after the key was turned off. I guess my question is really is this pump supposed to run only when the engine is hot and would what I describe be a "dealer item" for repair? Is there a way to bypass it or adjust it's run time? Thanks in advance for your advice!
