Vaccum Leak? Need direction.... thx!
Dear All,
I have a 1988 190E 2.5-16 and the car sometimes die when i press the clutch. It happened no matter the engine is hot or cold, running or sitting. It happened most of the time when i come to the stop sign or traffic light. I have searched the forum and found out the possibilities.. 1) OVP, i am not sure what it look like, can someone post me a pic? 2) Air Flow, i have clean it already and it look ok 3) control module, some said that's a recall on it. I have checked with my friend that my car is old and using K jet, not KE jet so I should be ok. 4) Clutch assist vaccum pump? (i dont know if this is the correct name) some said the vaccum pump maybe leaking but they are not sure if any sedan will have the clutch vaccum pump coz usually only truck use it. 5) There maybe a vaccum somewhere. my friend told me to replace the attachment tube first... i would like to know what other tube i should be aware and inspect first? the car die not many times..... so it maybe a little hard to find out which line is actually leaking. Also i kinda feel the air/gas mix ratio is different almost everytime when i start the car... is it also one of the result when there is a vaccum leask? many thx |
