Greetings Oil Burners,
This question is in reference to a '80 300TD station wagon. Just curious I guess, but after a 40 mile haul up and down hills on the way home i decided to check the tranny fluid upon my arrival. It was checked on level ground in park and of course the level was just perfect, just below the full mark, red in color and new smelling, but was just barely luke warm. Do I have problems, or is the cooling system for the fluid that great? Outside temp was around 45 F Never have I seen a tranny run so cool. Any info would be great as usual. Thanks, Charles I like the smell of diesel burning on a cold morning too. |
