Thanks All For the Help (Brakes and window Roller)
Once again, the threads on this forum have helped me overcome some challenges with my car. In fact without the forum they would have been big problems but now..well mission accomplished.
Example 1 Most recently I had replaced my rear brake hoses, caliper, rotor and pads and the front pads. Bled the whole system. Unfortunately my brakes were noisey. All the time with erratic chatter or squeeking. I have done a lot of brake jobs over the years and never had brakes that made noise whether I was braking or not. Could it had been those cheaper brake pads????Read about the pad quality playing a factor and so this weekend replaced all the pads and it is quiet as a lamb....wow Example 2 No sooner was I finished cleaning up from the brake job than I found hte left rear window would not go up. This is really the first thing to break on this car in the 3 years I have owned it so I didnt feel to bad but still, taking the inner door cover off and figuring out which part was broke...wasn't looking forward to it. (I had done windows on other vehicles before but you just figure MB has done something to make even raising a window overengineered.) Read a few threads here and realized I needed the roller/sliding jaw and I would probably need to take out the regulator. Picked up the part, took off the door cover with a little finagling to get it "up and off" but the advice here walked me through it and everything went great. As said here before, the hardest part is getting that door cover off and on again. Thanks all, even when no one is posting about it, these threads are helping us.
