w201 190E ASD problem - light lit up

Hi guys...

I have a problem that started today and I hope someone can help me troubleshoot this one. I have done a search and could not find anything that helped me. I had new tires put on in the rear and ever since the wheels where put back one, I found the ASD light lit on the speedometer. Here's my observations...

Today the weather was wet/rain at about 24* C. I don't know if weather/condition is playing a factor or not. I figured it worth mentioning either way. Now.. once the car is at around 30km/h, the ASD window on the speedometer lights up. It only goes away when I tap the brakes. If I coast in neutral after tapping the brakes... it relights once again. I have not experienced any driving problems and did not observe any performance loss.

My *guess* its a sensor issue. However, I don't know what sensor could be the culprit. All the books I have of the car are in German and I don't understand the language so its no help to me.

Any help is much appreciated!

EDIT: Forgot to mention.. the car in question is a 1991 Euro(German market) 190E 2.0 AMG (kit, interior, suspension, exhaust system)

Thanks Yal...

i went back to the tire place and told them the situation. I had a feeling that it was the tire size related, and sure enough.. it was. the profile of the rear tire was much greater than the front and caused a diameter to be different than the front wheels. So at speed, the rear would spin at a different speed than the fronts and that kicked the ASD in. Now is all fine from what I see.
