Question 124 Rear Seat Hdrest

Hi everyone , I have been unavailable and not on this forum for a couple of years , so here goes. I am finaly getting my 92 500E back on the road after fire damage from the dual fuel pump compartment. I am going to sand blast and scrape the area under rear seat and reseal with herculiner ( the corrosive in the fire extinguisher did damage ). At this time the car is not running so I can not drop the rear headrest. The headrests in the up position prevent me from pulling the rear seat back up enough for removal. I can reach into the trunk and feel the locking mechanism for the headrests but can not determine if it is possible to drop them manualy. Any help . I have sand blasted as far as I can without removing the seat and am ready to get my baby back on the road by weeks end but I want to do the repairs correctly and permanently.
Thanks
Alan a.k.a. Beastie
