Hydraulic vs. Steering Fluids
With my '87 300TD I have both the self-leveling hydraulic system and of course the power steering pump. Right or wrong, in the past I have used the same fabi fluid for both.
Should I be using the 08972 febi power steering fluid and the 02615 febi hydraulic fluid or is it okay to use the hydraulic for both? Sorry for such a simple question but until today I didn't realize there are two products. Thanks, Steve

yes, they are two very different fluids.
The power-steering fluid I believe is too thick compared to the self-levelling fluid. Flush-out the power-steering fluid from the self-levelling system. :-) neil |
