Question Climate control parts interchange

I need a new PBC for the climate system on 87 190E, I have access to a older model PBC that works. Will it work in my 87- The differance in the 2 contorls-where the recirc button is there is a economy button. I now the recirc will not work, but will the rest of the functions work.

Question What is a PBC

What is a PBC.
Thirty plus years as a mechanic, and I can't recall hearing of a PBC.

Is that like a SNAFU = Situation Normal All Fouled Up???

Have a great day.

More data needed.

What 1987 do you have

190E 2.3 16-Valve
190E 2.3
190E 2.6

What year/make/model is the other (older) Climate Control Unit???
