Can '95 S-class switch buttons be replaced?

I have a '95 S280 and the bottom button is missing on the seat switch. I bought a used complete switch out of an S500 just for the button and tried to pull off the bottom button but it won't budge. Is there some way get it off without breaking it? Mercedes doesn't sell the buttons separately so are they not replaceable?

All these buttons for years have been press on , pull off. You might just try
using vice grips with a cushioning piece of cloth (red shop rag). You need just the right amount of pressure. Then pull straight out. It should come off.

You should be able to tell by simply looking at the design of the male posts.

Always has worked for me on 4 different MB's. You have to pull hard.

Steve
