Pre-fuel filter - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Is there a pre-fuel filter in a 1998E300TD. The main filter is obvious, but I can't find the pre-filter. If there is one, where is it and is it easy to get to?

Yes its 601 092 01 05 and it is located on the top of the main fuel filter housing, there is 1 m6x22 screw holding down a plate that has a line coming into it. the filter is below that plate.
