w124 400e a/c temperature too cold!!!

I have to set my thermostat to 80-85 for a comfortable temp. The fan blows too much cold air if it's set to 72. Could it be the sampling motor? I tried to stick a small piece of paper on the sampling vent hole on top but it did not suck it.

Smithsonian

Better take your Mercedes to the Smithsonian museum. It's the only Mercedes ever to blow TOO cold. Most won't blow cold air at all. You're in an enviable position this time of year!

I'm assuming you've tried adjusting the wheel or what other control you have for the temperature. By chance, are you recirculating the a/c or taking in from the outside? You should get colder air when recirculating but still, setting it for 82 should give you 82 degree air, not 65.

I dunno, but a lot of people would love to have your Mercedes rather than theirs right about now!
