What is involved changing condenser W210

I had a leak in my condenser on a W210 which wasn't spotted when I had the AC recharged last week
I dropped off the car with a new condenser drier and fan for a local shop to install it
WHen I went to pick it up The mechanic told me how tough a job it was and charged me $250 for the labor and a charge
Looking at WIS this seems excessive and I'd like to ask whet it should take on a 98 E320 W210 chasis so I can talk to teh shop owner armed with some facts
Thanks
BOb
