I just wanted to post a short note regarding the fact that I was able to change out the supercharger on my 1999 C230 on my own rather than have the dealer or a shop do it. I was quoted $3000 for the new supercharger, two new pulleys, new belt and the labor. I found Canadian Superchargers.com through this forum. Brian was great. He shipped me the rebuilt S/C with a lifetime warranty for $490 dollars including shipping and return shipping for the core back to him. The other miscellaneous parts (two pulleys, one belt, two gaskets) brought the total to $655 dollars. I have never done a job like this before and it took me three very casual hours to do the job. Pretty straight forward, no magic and no special tools required. MCB does use some of the star type bolts but I found that using a 6 point socket works just fine. The most difficult part of the job was just getting the darn thing out after it was all unbolted. Wrestling it back in was a little rough too but you just have to sort of wiggle it around until you find the right spot. No big deal at all. Saved $2350 bucks!
