1.4 vs 1.2 cap

What is the worst that could happen when you use a 1.4 bar coolant cap instead of a 1.2 bar cap?

The suggested replacement from MB is 1.4; I have used it with no ill effects, but I also have a 1.2 and I presently use it. You can still find 1.2's if you look around.

Ditto Strife.

Haven't seen a 1.2 in a while. All the caps I've purchased in the last 10 yrs. were 1.4.

That's all I've seen the dealers sell.

Unless there is a cooling system PROBLEM or leaking head gasket (internal) the 1.4 bar cap won't have ANY effect on the cooling system!

A normal(not overheating) Benz cooling system hardly ever builds even .8 bar pressure..

Actually caps aren't even rated in bar anymore. They are rated in kilapascals. The newest caps are 140 kilapascals.
