Water pump M103 engine, may be a naive question
I just had the head gasket replaced some weeks ago by a professional, the water pump was not changed (but was changed 3 years ago and it ran since for +/- 30 000 kms).
Then I am asking myself this may question (be naive). Does any body know if when pressure builts up in the cooling circuit from a leaking head gasket can damage the water pump? thanks for reply

Pressure in the cooling system will be vented by the radiator cap.
