Angry Dashboard removal S-Class 140 1996 Please?????

I have found through my trials that my evaporater is shot. The car only has 29,000 miles on her and I can't believe I have to rip into her. The car is a 1996 s 320. I already removed wiper assembly ect. So please any pics and directions would be extremely helpfull.

I would buy the CD for your vehicle.

I've heard from MB techs that evap work on 140s is a real bear. If that's so, you'll need all of the factory info available and that would be on the CD.

Individual photos, etc. are nice, but they are not likely to contain everything needed.

I hope you are able to find what you are looking for. Please consider photo documenting your removal for others. This would be a very valuable addition to the DIY section.

Getting the dash out is the easy part. The real fun starts when you tackle the heater box (and everything you need to remove to get to it). By all means, buy the CD.

The job typically is 24 hrs, the entire dash comes out, getting at the cover under the wipers only provides acess to the charcoal activated filter. There have been some first timers that have had sucess, label document, and dont break anything

Pete, it that 24 hours of steady work by a knowledgeable tech.........

OR

is it 24 hours of thinking, checking, looking in the manual, trying to figure out how to get to a fastner, running for a different tool, struggling to get the wrench onto the fastener, removing the fastener...........thinking again..........
