A fellow member had his transmission go kaput on his '93 E400 (722.366 trans.)
Question is, where can he get a rebuilt unit in Florida? We both have read posts about trans. rebuilders....but... they are on the other side of the country. There has got to be somebody in Fla. that can do a decent rebuild on a transmission (preferably an exchange deal, so he is not w/o transportation for 10 days). I will be watching this thread not only to see if there are any recommendations, but also so I know for my self, since I have the same trans. in my E420, and naturally, it's got me worried now. btw: He has no reverse gear - it seems to engage, but there is no movement, unless you give it some gas...then it lurches back-as soon as you let off the gas (for fear of taking off too fast) it acts like it "locks up" ...as if the parking brake were engaged, or someone threw it in Park. Thanks for your time ![]() -Larry
