I have an opportunity to buy a 92 300E from a friend who just bought a new Jag. The car has 117K, fully serviced, SmokeSilver with Parchment Leather. I can get the car for right at wholesale. It has a little seepage from the head gasket...still runs fine, but I would need to get that fixed in the next few months. My dilemma...
I currently have an 82 300TD-T with 177K miles, near perfect condition, white with navy leather. EVERYTHING works on it (even the rear wiper now). The 300E has new struts, A/C, belt tension shock, valve guide seals, shocks, cooling system, and brake hoses. Should I keep my old reliable 300TD-T or sell it and get the 92?
I would appreciate any input from any of you who would share your opinion. I would love to keep the wagon, but I don't have a covered place for it, and with the paint near perfect, I won't leave it outside. I would appreciate ANY thoughts!
