i tried to buy a cheap vaccuum pump from harbor freight and hook it to my compressor....forget it....
when i did my a/c , i had to bite the bullet and have a shop pull vacuum and charge.. i didn't want to mess around jeopardize all the other a/c work i did... compressor, drier, expansion valve, flush.
