Reason for my post is simply over analitis.
I got the infrared laser thermometer and the dipstick tool. Went through the routine. Question is just how sensitive is this? Depending on where I shot the laser on the pan I got different temps. Anywhere from 87C to 82C. I have the fluid level just shy of the max line for 80C. Should I have the SDS fluid level routine performed? Steve '97 S320 |

Steve, I with the temps you reported I would just make sure the fluid is at exactly the 80 mark (not shy of). Beyond that, if the level checks out OK just forget about it. You'll be fine.

Thanks, I need to check it again to make certain my memory is correct.
Only driven about 1,000 miles since changed. Steve |
