Mbusa Cd

I called mb and asked for a repair manual. All they have is a CD that is supposed to cover mechanical, electrical, suspension...etc. It costs $70. I am needing to do some work on the heater core ...and am wondering if anyone knows if this CD will cover what I need to know and/or is there something else I should buy to be able to DIY all aspects of my CLK430.

The MB CD is all there is.

But, you can always "buy time" at

If there is a disc for a 208 chassis like yours, I'm sure that it'll have a section on the climate control (Gp 83) which would cover this job. The advice on buying a day subscription at startekinfo is good too, just print off as much info as you need.

So is the MB CD good enough and worth the money to do something like the heater core replacement or ball joint replacement or fuel sending unit replacement or would it be money better spent on the startek?

If they sell a cd for the 208, I'd go for that. Higher initial price than a day at Startek, but if you use it alot I'm sure it would pay for itself. I didn't know they sold them for cars that new...

I have the 202 CD and I think it is a good product. There is one glitch though. If you have a version of Adobe Reader later than 5, it messes up the links feathure. The way the CD is set up a job that has predecessor jobs has links. You should be able to click on the link and the predecessor job will come up. The later Adobe screws that up. You must disable the "Display PDF in Browser" option in Adobe 7 to view the pdfs. I use the CD on my work laptop and our IT folks decided I need Adobe 7. Now my CD is less functional.
