W123 Outside Temp Gauge?
Did any of the W123 models have an outside temperature gauge with a dash-mounted readout? I ask this because I've just found an "abandoned" wire pair (blue&brown) in my engine bay. See this post that I just made to the Diesel Discussion:
Loose wire found in engine bay A responder wondered if one of the gasoline 123s had an outside temp gauge so I figured this would be the place to ask. Any other ideas as to the purpose of this wire pair would be graciously received. Jeremy

According to my Option lists, up to April 1985, none of the W123s had Code No. 240 (Outside Temperature Gauge) available. The feature was available for W124s and W126s.
