1997 C280 Gas Leak?
I recently purchased a 1997 Mercedes C280 and noticed that after I fill the tank up what appears to be a overflow valve below the car leaks out gas for a minute then stops. If anyone can give me any information how to fix the problem it would be a big help.
Thanks Mike |

That is a closed system....unless you allow gas to overflow the filler neck there shouldn't ever be any fuel comming out..if there is...you have a serious & dangerous problem!

What happens is when I put gas in the car a few seconds later gas drips out for a few seconds then stops and never leaks again till the next time you put gas in the car.

There still should never be a leak.
You have a hose or something that is leaking.
