W140 remote key flashing lights?

When I lock the SD the white light flashes ~25 times. When I unlock it the green light flashes ~5 times. Same at all locks. Does the flashing mean more than confirmation?

Thanks,
Sixto

I have a 94 140 which I don't think is different. I don't have any white light just red and green and they both blink equal

Is there any problem besides the light blinking problem? Doors locking and unlocking OK? Do you know how to test the anti-theft system? I'd be curious to know if it's working OK. Sometimes the system is set up to warn you the remote batteries are weak(by flashing the lights on the doors differently), you have another key you can try this with? If not use a meter to check the batt voltages in the remote. I think they are 1.5v batts.

Doors lock and unlock as expected. That feature that closes all windows and sunroof by holding the key in 'lock' works. Closing assist doesn't work on any door. In fact the pump is out of the car. I only have one remote.

I only have one key. The fob has a key ring whereas the two fobs that came with my 95 S420 didn't have key rings.

Maybe the lens used to be red but it faded to white.

Sixto: You can just try replacing the batteries if you want. If you have the manual, they might even tell what the car does to signal weak batteries in the remote, but the multiple extra flashes sort of rings a bell, not sure. Or maybe check to make sure all the doors, plus trunk and hood, are all closed tightly.
