w124 Maintenence and Repair Costs
I had some time on my hands a few minutes ago, so I decided to add up all the parts i have purchased for our CE and E in the last 18 months or so...
Parts average 23 a month per car Oil (pro-rated) about 4 dollars a month per car Transmission fluid (pro-rated) about 2 dollars a month Tires (pro-rated) about 12 dollars a month Additionally I did have my a/c vaccuumed, dyed, re-charged by a professional that cost was 120 dollars....(only work someone else has done) I should be this lucky going forward. Of course one transmission rebuild would take everything out of whack... all costs are per car. I estimate I have about 250 dollars in uninstalled parts in my bin...so i could have subtracted a pro-rated amount, but did not estimated 30k miles annually --- 12k for the E 18k for the CE

I would really hate to add up what all I have put in our three, but I know it will be less than buying three new ones. As all three are pretty much flawless to look at, they all receive a lot of second looks that feels as good as driving a new one.
