'97 S320 trans stall when cold

I have a '97 S320 with 118K mile and for the .2 mile when cold, transmission take a long time to change from 1st to 2nd. After you drive for .2 it shift normal.

MB mecahnic says there is acircuit board in the transmission that must be replaced. The car receives all of its normal maintance including fluid change.

Help before i spend money on the wrong thing please..

It sounds like your car is functioning normally. The emission control system delays shifting when cold so that the catalytic converter warms up faster. Maybe your MB tech needs a refresher course.
