Window/door trim removal-210 model

I have a 2001 AMG E55 and the exterior trim on the back of the driver's door needs replacing. It has worn because I grab the door there to close it. Mercedes calls the part an applique panel. To replace this part it looks like I need to remove the black trim piece that runs horizontally along the door. Does anyone have a service manual that explains how to remove the piece along the door? Any diagrams/photos would be helpful. A picture of the piece is attached.

Thanks.

I think if you look at the extreme front and rear of the door you'll see a phillips head screw, this would be from the inside of the door looking out. Remove the screws and you would pry the trim up from the back and it unclips from the door. The weatherstrip will come with the metal trim.

I don't think there are any screws. The trim just pulls up out of the clips. The are screws behind the weatherstrip for the piece that is worn.
