Why not fix the locking cover?

You need to find someone that has a paper catalog for Stant gas caps, and have them look up your car. Try Napa, if you have one in your area, they have real parts people there.

They covered sugar on the MythBusters once - ran a tankful of sugar gas through an old Caddy V8, no ill effects. However, the clorox in the tank caused major rust!
