slk inside rear view mirror

Any one know how to remove the inside mirror on 99 SLK so I can install a new one? The new one appears to have very stiff clips inside. Thanks!!!!

did you ever figure how to remove the rearview mirror? I'm about to check the search feature here for pricing and installation.

For removal of the mirror, excluding removing the attachment arm to the roof, the mirrors black case separates into two parts, chances are if you separate the case little plastic attachment pieces will break meaning a new mirror assembley is needed. But if your lucky it won't break. Once the clamshell mirror housing is separated the electrical connection can be pulled and the mirror lowered.
