Update on HD9CO? non-resistor plugs?

Where can they be obtained?
Are resistor plugs the only alternative?

anybody uses ngk's BP5EFS plugs as suggested on this list and the NGK cross reference site.

NGK BP5EFS appears to be a correct replacement - same geometry, non-resistor, and equivalent heat range to the Bosch H9DC.

US NGK site list TR5 as the part in the partfinder.I've used TR5 before without much problem.
I switched to the TR5GP platinum after 4 yrs of TR5 and stalling problem appeared.Dont know whether they are related.Changed battery and plugs to HD9C0 fuel filter aned cleaned TPS electrical contacts, problem gone.
Canada NGK transfer you to the Australian NGK site and list the BP5EFS as the replacement for HD9C0 or HD9C.
it also list BP6EFS as the spark plug in the partfinder. What is the diff between 5 and 6(?Can run hotter)

In an NGK a " 5 "is a hotter plug than a " 6 ".
Everybody else ( Bosch, Champion, Autolite, AC Delco, etc. ) uses a " reversed " system, i.e. a higher number means a hotter plug.

I wrote to followup with Autohauz and got the following response:Can someone confirm whether this is non-resistor or RESISTOR plug before I go ahead and order.
Response from Autohauz:
We can get BP5EFS (sold under our part number FOR004770) but I think
this is now a resistor plug as well. We do not stock it and it would
ship directly from one of our importers, so I can't physically
inspect it, however they have notes with this part number stating
"V-Power Resistor".
I spoke to our purchasing manager about this issue and he said that
Bosch is currently not producing any plugs without resistors. He
also said that one of our importers indicated that NGK and Champion
are following the same philosophy and discontinuing non-resistor
plugs. I have had many customers state that they have heard that
this is a problem with many models, however I have had very few
customers actually use the new resistor style plugs and report
problems. Unfortunately, if these plugs do actually cause problems,
we do not have any options to still obtain the original non-resistor
types.

Best Regards,
Tom

As long as there is no "R" in the designation, it is non-resistor.

My 1995 NGK catalog heat range chart lists a BP7EFS as a non-resistor plug - same geometry as TR5; "7" is colder than "5". The BP5EFS is not listed, so it must have been added in the last ten years, but all indications are that it should be equivalent to the H9DC.
