Question warm start issue

Finally getting to drive the car a bit. '92 300SE. Drove it about 4 miles yesterday evening - car up to full operating temp. Let it sit about 1.5 hours and when I went to restart, it wasn't as willing to start as when cold. First crank caught briefly and died. Second crank much longer and when it did start, seemed OK. I thought at first over rich, but revving the throttle briefly didn't produce any missing or black smoke indicative of fuel-soaked plugs.

Is there some sort of hot-start injector or something on this motor? I don't have a CE light and haven't tried to pull any codes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
