I have a 94 E420, I am up to $3000 on trying to find the problem:

Symptoms:
Misses when idling. Getting worse.
Idle up and down.
Hessitates on hard acceleration.
Takes for ever to start.

Replaced:
Harness.
Plug wires.
Coils.
Dist caps.
Crank sensor, and shimmed....

Fault Codes:
On the red light the codes: 6, 10, 19, 21. appear.

I put a timming light on the plug wires, coil wire and the two small wires on top of the coils, getting intermitent moments of no light, almost like no power to the coils for a second.

Any one got all the fault codes for this vehicle?
