c320 transmission servicing procedure

I Drained The Fluid And Replaced The Filter And Gasket.
Put In 4 Qrts Of Mb Fluid To Start. Started The Car It Would Not Move, Checked To Find No Oil In Trans Pan, Or On The Floor ?
How Much Fluid After Removing The Pan And What Is The Procedure.
