I may buy an old 190e
Hello everyone,
It has been a long time since I was here. I had and sold a perfect 1988 325i, to my brother who broke it. Anyhow, Do you guys like the old 190e. It is a 1986 I believe with the high compression european engine. IT has 95K orginal miles and is owned by my german mechnanic friend who was the original owner. She is one tight well taken care of ride. The oil was changed every thousand miles. It needs some body work but he can get it done cheap from a friend of his. I may be back on the site. I bought a 2005 ranger 4 cylinder 5 speed regular cab and crave a bit more car. I just love old cars Thanks for any info bob |

Which 190E model? I have a Euro 2.0 (same as a US 2.3) and its got no torque at all, but in turn gets decent mileage and very economical/reliable.
The 2.3-16v is a sporty engine thats high revving and offers power for the 190E. The 2.6 has the M103 inline 6 engine and offers good power but the engine is sort of shoe-horned in the engine bay. |

It is not the 16V so it must be the 2.0.
He says that it gets 35 mpg on the highway. thanks bob |
