99 SLK 230 Cuts off while driving

I have a 1999 SLK 230 that came into the shop for a blown head gasket. Repaired the head gasket and noticed that the car had a problem accelerating. Checked the engine codes and found that the camshaft solenoid was not operating(stuck in place). Applied 12 volt power to the actuator and got the actuator working better but still not as good as it should be. But now heres the real problem. The customer picked up the car and drove it home with no problems. Started th car the next day and drove the car to work. On the way back home the car died on him while driving down the interstate. Coasted to the side and parked the car. After sitting for about 15 minutes the car started back up and he was on his way. The next morning he drove the car for about 15 minutes and the same thing happend. Checked codes in engine computer and this is what I found
1) P1235 Unknown fault
2) P1236 Unknown fault
3) P 1420 Air puimp switchover valve (y/32)
4) P 1525 Right adjustable camshaft timing solenoid (Y49/2)
5) p0170 Fuel trim bank 1 malfunction.

This code was in the traction computer c1200 Stop lamp switch (S9/1) short or open circuit. I replaced the airflow meter, air filter, PCV valve and hoses, and Cleaned the vacuum box on top of the valve cover. Customer drove car for two more days and the car let him down again but this time the car would not crank over and when I hooked my computer to the car it would not communicate with it. I also found that when you turned the key to the on position the fan would start running. I checked the alarm computer and found these codes.
1) b1712 Alarm ATA triggered via left dooe switch ( S 17/3)
2) B1713 Alarm ATA triggered via right front door (S17/4)
I cleared those code and for some reason the fan did not come back on. I noticed that if the fan is not running the car will start but if the fan is running I can't get into the engine computer and the car will not crank over. Hope this will be helpful to anyone who can help me with this problem. Thanks in advance

Found some new info

Well he broke down again and the car still did not start when I got to the car. Turned the key to the 3rd position and I heard the cooling fan come on. I knew that with the fan on the car would not start. So I took the negative terminal off of the battery and left it off for about 5 minutes. Reconnected the battery and turned the key back to the third position and the fan was not running. So I started the car and he drove it home. He just left to go to McDonalds and the car cut off in the drive thru. He disconnected the battery and left it off for about two minutes. Then he reconnected it and the car started and he drove it back home. Hope this helps and thanks in advance to anyone that can help me with this situation. I just found out some more info about the car and that is that when the car is about to cut off the ASR triangle comes on and the throttle input becomes very lazy. I checked the traction computer and found these codes.
1) c 1022 Can communication with engine control module me-sfi (n3-10) interrupted
2) C 1031 unknown fault
3) C 1200 Stop lamp switch (s9-1) short or open circuit

Hope these help!!

Sounds like a K40 relay failure. Power supply.
