thumping sound in front of 1990 560sel

when i hit a bump the car has a hard thumping sound . replaced the shocks with oem bilsteins so what could it be?

rod going from lower control arm back to body on an angle.bushing in there is called brake reaction or castor replace both sides.

The Mercedes part number is 126 330 13 35.

Take a look at the guide rod bushing. Where the guide rod connects to the suspension bearing bracket. I had the same thing with my 1989 420SEL. Cleared it right up. PITA to do though.
