1994 S600 Sedan. Can get rid of the automatic suspen shocks and install the bas. ones

When my car goes over a speed bump it bounces alot. I priced the shocks....they were 900.00 for each. The guy told me that that year had two types of shocks ...one set was with the ride control, these shocks had a large block att. to them. The other type was for the cars with no automatic ride control. These he said would bolt up fine, i would just have to bypass the wires/hoses going to the stock shocks......I know ...I know...you guys are gonna freek out that i am actually thinking about altering my S600. I recently had a death in my family and am in no position to spend 3000 to 3500 for schoks. I have the new ones without the "block" on them. They look identical except for that block....PLEASE help you MB GURU'S..........

Most of the time the shocks aren't the problem.. the leveling system accumulators will cause that problem.

Glad to hear it. Save the money, because sooner or later you'll need it for parts ;-).
